However, for the first couple of months, braces quickly alleviate crowding, align teeth, and de-rotate severely rotated teeth. Essentially all the heavy lifting is done by braces. Plus, after we remove the braces, the rest of the tooth movements such as finishing and detailing are done by aligners.
